Just found out today that I did not win a scholarship to the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writer’s Conference in May! Probably has something to do with winning last year and then not being able to attend because of Hannah’s graduation activities! I’m sick, I tell you! I’m discouraged and angry because I cannot just go anyway! Rooming would be $225, meal ticket $120 , conference fee $315 and finally airfare around $500! That’s a whopping $1160. Might as well be $1 million! I fear I will NEVER get to attend, NEVER get an editor, NEVER get published! It is true, what I’ve bee told, “Life is hard….and then you die.”
